Queer-sensitive coaching for the LGBTIQ* community
People from the LGBTIQ* community often face particular challenges – both in their professional and private lives. Queer-sensitive coaching offers the opportunity to reflect on these issues in a safe, appreciative environment and to develop new perspectives. This requires more than just a neutral coaching framework; it requires a safe space that is sensitive to language, experience, and structures, and in which all facets of one's identity have a place.
As a systemic coach, I work with people from the LGBTIQ* community in Berlin and nationwide online – on professional and personal issues, crises, transitions, and new beginnings. I accompany people without judgement, guided by mindfulness, empathy, respect, and, last but not least, a good dose of humor.
What queer-sensitive coaching means
Queer-sensitive coaching is not “special coaching,” but rather an attitude: a way of working that consciously considers language, identity, and belonging. It creates a space where no explanation is necessary—neither for pronouns nor for life plans.
I work with people who say things like:
-
“I want to be more confident about my identity—including in a professional context.”
-
“I want to process old experiences related to exclusion or conformity.”
-
“I'm looking for a new direction—professionally or personally—and want to be able to express myself authentically.”
-
“As a queer leader, I want to find my role more clearly.”

Typical topics in LGBTIQ* coaching

-
Visibility at work, in the family, or in public spaces
- Dealing with discrimination and minority stress
-
Work-life balance and resilience
- Career reorientation, leadership responsibility, self-employment
-
Self-care and setting boundaries
Why I offer this coaching
Good systemic coaches always work with openness. However, their life experience does not necessarily connect them to an explicitly queer-sensitive attitude. This is exactly the connection I offer in LGBTIQ coaching, which is not only tolerant but also consciously competent in dealing with diversity.

What makes my approach special
-
Systemic: I work in a solution-oriented and resource-focused way – with an eye on connections, not attributions.
-
Experienced: I have been accompanying people from the LGBTIQ* community for years – as a coach, trainer, and teacher.
-
Networked: I work in exchange with queer-sensitive institutions and service providers in Berlin.
-
Professional: As a member of the DBVC and with training in systemic coaching practice, quality is my top priority.
